Welcome to Longton Health Centre

surgery

Unfortunately our level of staff sickness due to COVID-19 and isolation guidelines means that our daily capacity is significantly reduced.

Please consider if your community pharmacist can help with minor ailments or alternatively EMAIL on GPCCG.longtonhc@nhs.net with any non-urgent queries and our team will review these within a 48 working hour period. They will then signpost your query to the most appropriate service available.

PLEASE NOTE our reception team are available at the practice to assist if you have no internet accessibility.

Vaccination Update

Your GP is unable to offer you official certification of Covid19 vaccination, a vaccination passport or an official certificated letter to prove you have been vaccinated against COVID19. Please contact 119 if you are unable to access the NHS APP and require confirmation of your vaccine status.

Currently patient's vaccinations administered from abroad cannot be visible on the NHS App.

Covid-19 Guidance in Local Healthcare Settings Will Remain Until Further Notice

Following the end to mandatory social distancing and mask wearing in daily life on 19 July 2021, please be advised that if you are visiting a healthcare setting such as our GP surgery, community clinic or hospital, you will still be required to wear a facemask and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

We are still seeing rising cases of COVID-19 in our communities and in admission to our local hospitals so despite the easing of restrictions in our daily lives, we must continue to follow a rigorous process in health and care settings to keep our patients and our colleagues safe.

Despite any changes coming into force from Monday 19 July in the community, current guidance remains in place in hospitals, GP and other primary care buildings and services in central Lancashire, and will not change at this time.

Therefore, all health and social care staff, volunteers, patients and visitors will still be required to continue to follow the below:

  • HANDS:Wash hands regularly with soap and water or hand gel if hand washing facilities are not available
  • FACE:Wear a face covering in practice buildings
  • SPACE:Stay at least 2m away from people wherever possible and ensure you follow the social distancing measures in place

Thank you for helping us continue to keep our patients and staff safe during these continued challenging times.
