New Social Prescribing Service for Children and Young People Now Live

Preston & South Ribble PCN have partnered with Barnardo's to provide Lancashire Link, a Social Prescribing Service for Children and Young People aged 5 to 17 in Preston and South Ribble to support children and young people with their emotional health and wellbeing.

Registered patients aged 5-17 can now be referred into this service who will provide a link worker to work with the individual to find a solution that works for them.  They can help with:

  • Confidence and low self-esteem
  • Peer difficulties
  • Community engagement
  • Developing resilience
  • Family relationships
  • Social isolation
  • School related worries
  • Future goal-setting
  • Worry management
  • Coping with stress and mild anxiety
